Please Consider Supporting Richmond United Soccer Club!

We would first like to start off by saying thank you for taking the time to learn more about who we are and what we do. Our work would not be possible without the help of so many volunteers along with the financial support of individuals and companies that believe in our mission.

The Richmond United Soccer Club (RUSC) was founded in 1995 by members of the community interested in providing youth with an opportunity to play soccer. Since then, the club has seen many members come and go but since 2007, RUSC seen a tremendous upward trend in participation. This is due to the quality of the program, which promotes fun, development, and education. Moreover, it is due to its volunteers that have worked diligently to implement strong values and a vision that encourages our community to reach for higher goals. RUSC has become a proven leader in youth soccer in our area and just a few notable facts:

• Since 2007, Richmond United has grown from 82 players (6 teams) to 500 players (34 teams), becoming the largest youth soccer program in Richmond
• Since 2007, Richmond United has grown its girls program from 12 girls to over 150 girls, easily becoming the largest provider of youth girls soccer in Richmond
• Richmond United provides some of the lowest fees for youth soccer, especially when it comes to competitive soccer (we charge a ~$250 per year while others can charge thousands)
• Richmond United serves a number of different communities, including San Pablo, where we provide opportunities for over 170 San Pablo boys and girls
• Richmond United provides every single youth player with a soccer ball every spring

Richmond United is not and will never be just about soccer. We represent far more then just soccer. Soccer is a tool with which we use to encourage our youth to strive for a brighter tomorrow for themselves and for others. Our board members have been very passionate about letting coaches know that success off of the field is more important than the success they can have on the field. We are starting to see those young teams from 2007 graduating soon and we expect that those players will be heading out college this year.

We believe that playing youth soccer should be accessible to all our youth. As previously mentioned, Richmond United registration fees are some of the most affordable in the area. Youth soccer has seen a rising trend in cost for a number of reasons and RUSC remains committed to keeping costs affordable even in the midst of this strong upward trend. This is where you (insert name or company) can play a vital role in helping Richmond United remain the most affordable soccer club.

There a number of ways in which we can work with your company to develop a productive partnership. Through a collaborative partnership we can provide marketing opportunities that reach thousand in the East Bay and beyond (i.e., soccer ball logos, practice gear logos, etc.). Please note that RUSC is part of the Alameda-Contra Costa Youth Soccer League, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Richmond United has number of ways in which we can work together and we look forward to working with you in the future. No donation is considered too small; any bit of help will assist us in providing our youth with a positive activity that will help them succeed.

Please contact our fundraising coordinator, Frances Huyn, at frances.sfo@gmail.com to discuss how we can collaborate and work together.
